Questions Regarding the Go RN Phone App:
How do I download the app?
Search for “Go RN” on your app store for Apple and Android devices. Install the app using your app store. An icon for the app will appear on your phone’s home screen, like the image below:
How will I know when I am cleared to schedule myself to work?
After successful completion of the application process, you will receive an email from Go RN stating you are cleared to schedule yourself for shifts. If you try to schedule yourself before you are cleared, the app will let you know that your application is still under review. During the application process, you can always contact the Go RN office to check your application status.
How do I sign in to the app?
When you open the app, you will see the “Login” screen. Enter your email and password you selected at signup.
If you forgot your password, tap the “Forgot User ID or Password?” link, and enter your email address you used at signup.
How do I make myself available to work?
- After selecting a desired facility and undergoing the orientation through the contractor website, you will receive notification from Go RN and will be able to make yourself available for that facility.
- After signing in using the app, you will see the “Availability” screen. This is the screen where you set the shifts you are available to work.
- Tap a day you would like to make yourself available, then tap the plus (+) sign in the upper right corner. If you have not made yourself available for that day, you can also tap the blue “Why not schedule” button below the calendar.
- Select the facility for which you would like to make yourself available.
- Select the shift(s) for which you would like to make yourself available to work.
- Select the role for which you would like to make yourself available.
- The system will automatically show you units which you are qualified to work.
Below are some screenshots of the Availability windows:
Is making myself available for a shift actually scheduling me to work that shift?
No. Setting your availability lets the facility know you are available to work that shift, but you will not actually work that shift until the facility selects you, and you confirm the shift. You will receive a phone call and a notification in the app when you are selected to work. Do not report to shifts where you have marked yourself available but have not been scheduled or received a notification that you are scheduled. You must confirm the notification in order to verify you will be working that shift.
Note: Typical scheduling occurs 2-4 hours prior to the beginning of each shift. Please be available to answer the scheduling call and confirm your shift.
What happens if I do not confirm the scheduling phone call or app notification?
The system will attempt to call you again, up to three calls. If you do not confirm during the phone call or app notification, you will not be scheduled to work that shift.
Note: If you miss all calls and would still like to work for a given shift, call the Go RN office and speak to a scheduler. Call (714) 316-5161, press Option 1, then Option 1 again.
Can I make myself available as much as I want?
Yes! The beauty of the Go RN solution is you can schedule yourself available to work when you want, where you want, and as many shifts as you would like. However, our system will not allow you to work consecutive 12-hour shifts without a break in between. You can schedule yourself for only days, only nights, only certain days, however you would like, up to 4 months in advance. Keep in mind the more shifts you schedule yourself as available, the more likely you are to be scheduled for upcoming facility vacancies.
I made myself available to work a shift but am now not available during that time to work. What do I do?
If you have not been scheduled for a shift and confirmed: You will have the option to decline the shift if you are scheduled and receive an automated phone call or app notification.
Note: If you reject a shift 4 hours or less before the shift start time, it will result in a “strike”. If you accumulate 3 strikes, your contract through Go RN will void.
If you are about to receive, a notification call: Delete your availability using the app.
Note: If you reject a shift 4 hours or less before the shift start time, it will result in a “strike”. If you accumulate 3 strikes, your contract through Go RN will void.
If you were scheduled and confirmed a shift: Please call the Go RN office at (714) 316-5161, option 1, option 1 again, and speak to a scheduler.
